Great macros with feminist colored letters leading to deep thinking about the failures of globalised capitalism, expressing the fears of not being able to reach the standards of success, of living, of beauty, that such a perverse system preaches to us. The sense of frustration in the bird not succeeding like Lil Wayne? Do we all have to be like him? Aren’t there any other ways to succeed in life? What do we really understand under the words “success” and “to succeed”? Haven’t these words been perverted by the wrongs of an economic system?
“Please let me complete my thought” is a plea of let me be, of freedom. I really love this one! Also, I like the idea of the subtile chains of the never returned t-shirts. I want to break free, but you won’t let go, as it also happens with social media.
I love the beautiful nature behind the letters, especially trees with water, my favorite landscapes for relaxation.
Finally, the feminist colored letters make me think of the special situation of women in our present century. I am currently reading Feminism for the 99%
A Manifesto by Cinzia Arruzza, Tithi Bhattacharya, and Nancy Fraser, which I strongly recommend: https://www.versobooks.com/books/2924-feminism-for-the-99
